Using the Intel® C++ Compiler with Visual Studio* .NET*

The following topics discuss integrating the Intel® C++ Compiler with Microsoft* Visual Studio* .NET*.

After completing these topics you should be able to:

  • use either the Intel C++ Compiler or the Microsoft compiler to compile your project from within Visual Studio .NET.
  • use either the Intel C++ Compiler or the Microsoft compiler to compile a specific file within the project from within Visual Studio .NET
  • set the PATH, INCLUDE and LIB environment variables
  • set Intel Compiler options for a project

The Intel C++ Compiler Integration lets you use either the Intel C++ compiler or the Microsoft C++ compiler to build Visual C++ .NET projects.

The Intel® C++ compiler Version 8.0 supports many, but not all of the new features of Microsoft Visual C++* .NET*. See Visual C++* .NET* Compatibility in the Intel C++ Compiler user's guide for more information.
