Declarations

This section describes the Itanium(TM) architecture assembly language directives associated with symbol declarations. These directives can be used to perform the following functions:

• Declare symbol scopes

• Specify symbol types

• Specify symbol sizes

• Override default file names

• Declare common symbols

• Declare aliases for labels, function names, symbolic constants, or sections
